New cycles from the London Marathon Charitable Trust

With the help of an extremely generous £20,000 grant from the London Marathon Charitable Trust, Wheels for Wellbeing has bought 2 more side-by-sides, 2 wheelchair tandems and a new table and chair set.

The cycles, which have been purchased from Get Cycling, will be housed at Herne Hill Velodrome and Ladywell Day Centre. The table and chair set is for Croydon Sports Arena – as many people will remember, our current table and chairs are in a state of disrepair, and so we’re very happy to be replacing them!

Here’s what our Director said about the London Marathon Charitable Trust grant: “Wheels for Wellbeing is extremely grateful to have been awarded a grant which will enable us to welcome more participants, in particular people who cannot transfer out of their wheelchairs or who need the support of someone else in order to feel the wind in their hair. Ultimately, this grant means that more disabled people in South London will be able experience the joy of cycling.”
