Celebrating our Charity of the Year Award!

We are very excited to have been announced as the winner in the Charity of the Year category at the Mayor of Croydon Civic Awards 2020*.

The Mayor of Croydon Civic Awards celebrate community heroes across the borough – the volunteers, community groups, local partners and businesses dedicated to helping others. The Charity of the Year category is open to charitable organisations or social enterprises doing incredible work to support local communities in Croydon. Our entry was based around out Corydon cycling hub project which has been going for over 10 years now.

Our hub based out of the Croydon Arena, one of three bases in south London, runs on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. These inclusive cycling sessions for disabled people and their families, carers or friends are facilitated by qualified instructors and supported by fantastic volunteers who  help participants try our cycles or get comfortable on the one that suits them. Our support enables more people to get cycling including those who previously didn’t think they were able.

We’re very grateful to everyone at the office of the Mayor of Croydon for their support and recognition in giving us this award.

Certificate declaring us winner of the Charity of the year. it is purple and silver with the Mayor of Croydon's crest on the top right
*The awards are presented a year later due to the ongoing pandemic causing the initial ceremony to be postponed and then sadly cancelled.
