Campaigns

We campaign for a world where Disabled people have the same access to cycling, active travel and multimodal journeys as everyone else.

However, many people remain unaware of the significant physical, financial and cultural barriers we face, which prevent us from making the same journeys as non-disabled people.

To raise awareness of these issues and transform attitudes to disability, we:

  1. Campaign for legislative change as well as the robust implementation of existing legislation and policy, such as the Equality Act.
  2. Provide practical resources to support organisations and individuals campaigning in active and sustainable travel.
  3. Highlight barriers in the pedestrian realm which limit opportunities for physical activity and offer solutions that would work for all
  4. Advocate for Disabled people’s needs to be central to transport planning
  5. Influence policy by lobbying government, responding to consultations, working with Parliamentarians and developing targeted campaigns.
There are three mobility aids shown - a recumbent e-trike with one rider, an in-line tandem mobility scooter with two riders, and an invented robot dog based on a Boston Dynamics walking robot combined with a powerchair, with one rider.
